Dayna Reidenouer (they/she) is a former newspaper features writer and photographer, which means they know about many things. They’re also neurodivergent, so make that a lot about many things. Dayna excels at line and copy editing, thanks to professional training, years of experience, and the thousands of books they’ve read in their lifetime.
Most of Dayna’s editing and coaching work has been with MF contemporary romance, but they read primarily in the MM genre. Dayna’s favorite characters are those who aren’t traditionally included in romance – MCs who are disabled, queer, fat – and they automatically check for authenticity and respectful portrayal of minoritized people as they edit.
Dayna’s proud to have copyedited T. Taylor’s 7 FIGURE FICTION: How to Use Universal Fantasy to SELL Your Books to ANYONE and to have been elected to the Editorial Freelancers Association’s board of governors as a member at large through June 2024. They’re a Penn State University graduate and will have a short story, “Simon Says Yes,” published in the Rainbow Romance Writers RWA chapter’s Pride & Presents anthology set for release in Fall 2023.
